Many new features in SECURITHOR V2.6!

As usual, a new version of SECURITHOR brings many new features.
And some Old favourites have been improved.

Major new work done in 2.6: Following the announcement of our partnership with the Kingfisher Company, we made a new MQTT receiver dedicated to the Kingfisher IoT platform.
Kingfisher is a prominent manufacturer with a 60-year history of building FM approved Fire Prevention, Radio and Communication Equipment.

The Kingfisher receiver is now available for SECURITHOR 2.6.2 and for the UNIFI Event Management by Kingfisher. The Kingfisher IoT platform is among the most complete we have worked with and sports the highest encryption level we have worked with. The IoT devices provide SECURITHOR 3 level of communications: linked devices through zones, Dialer capture (Contact ID), and connection from several Fire Panels via serial port.
Contact Kingsfisher for more information on the IoT platform.

To enhance our Fire Prevention side and to better serve college campuses and counties, we’ve partnered with Kingfisher to develop a new Building Info System module. This module enhances our existing services by providing access to detailed information for multiple buildings within a single account. Dispatchers and responders will now have a complete picture of each site, including building information not typically found in alarm monitoring software. The Building Info System‘s web interface empowers fire chiefs with a comprehensive overview of the intervention site

We worked with DAHUA through 2024 to complete integration of their Series 5 and 7 with SECURITHOR. We are now ECO+ partners and the launch partner of the DoLynk Developer solution. Many Dahua devices can directly report detections from video analytics to SECURIHTOR CAM Ultra or via the DoLynk Developer Servers.

SECURITHOR is now fully made for 64-bit Windows. That gives access to much more memory. PostgreSQL is also 64-bit.

For our updated work with Dahua and Ajax available, several SECURITHOR products and modules are now available in  México at TVC en linea.

WARNINGS

. Starting at v2.6.0, a new license is REQUIRED, even if a previous license was used. Self-reinstalling will not work unless you have update rights with MCDI, i.e. a support plan in good standing.
. Starting at v2.6.0, 32-bit Windows installations are no longer supported; only 64-bit systems are available.
. After starting the installer (and entering the password in the case of the server), it might take a little longer to show the installer as it will install needed components in the background beforehand.
. Genuine Windows installation is required, and non-genuine Windows are not supported. We have multiple reports of fake Windows being incomplete and impeding performance.
. The Minimum requirement is Genuine Windows 10 Pro, dotNET 4.6.2. ST1 or Server machine is to be solely used to run SECURITHOR. NO OTHER SOFTWARE SHALL BE USED
. The Minimum requirements have been adjusted to add the recommendation of a Video card for any video usage. A chipset with a video or using memory from the motherboard is not considered enough
. The Minimum requirements have been adjusted to recommend at least 16GB of RAM.
. Reminder: The recommendation of a fast SSD was made since v2.2 for both read and write speeds. It is now a minimum requirement for production for v2.6.
. A recommendation of having an external disk for video storage is now in effect if using Video Verification. Recording can be fairly large, and you could fill up the Securithor disk in no time if they are saved on the Securithor disk.
ON SECURITHOR CLIENT AND SERVER.
Update road map starting version should be 2.4.1 or later for direct updates to 2.6.x. Previous versions require multiple jumps that will be determined by MCDI Support and will require a bridging fee.

IMPORTANT REMINDER ON BACK-UP OF SECURITHOR
Every Securithor v2 comes with a tool to make automatic backups. It is located in STnet>Tools>Backup.

This tool produces an integral backup of the Securithor database, which MCDI can use to restore your SECURITHOR database into a new installation.
This tool can be used to make a backup on request or program to do one automatically up to once per day.
It is recommended that you back up in a separate location or have a copy on removable media.
Should your HDD fail and the main database and backup be on the same disk, it will not be possible to restore your database.

Rollout of 2.6.2 is made starting with new installations. Then STL, ST1, STS with database import in order of complexity.

Updates are made as part of support plans and are performed by MCDI staff.
Please contact your MCDI rep to know if you have update rights and to schedule the update.-
