SECURITHOR major features and rework in 2.7.x

. Localization Independence: New language, time, and date selectors allow localization settings to differ from Windows. This includes an easy toggle between 12h and 24h formats.
. Expanded Language Support: Added or updated support for Albanian, Bahasa (Indonesia and Malaysia), Bosnian, Cambodian, Croatian, Hindi, Gujarati, Hungarian, Norwegian, Serbian, and Thai.
. Module Compatibility: Added the ability to use the new Buildings Info System and Protecthor modules (from the upcoming v3). See below for demos and availability.
. Streamlined Configuration: Redesigned the Account Management remote panel to make configuration simpler and more intuitive.
. Dynamic Data Creation: Added the option to create a new account or alarm code directly from the traffic window. Simply right-click on a row when an unknown account or code is present.
. BIS Integration: Added the option to share a BIS Building URL using a message template with the {bshare} wildcard.
. UI Enhancements: Added an option for a larger user interface for LiveMap of MVP.
Buildings are now automatically copied when copying a partition or account within the Building Info Systems.

. 64-bit Architecture: SECURITHOR is now fully compiled for 64-bit Windows, allowing access to significantly more memory. PostgreSQL has also been upgraded to 64-bit for improved performance.

 

ADD-ON Modules

N.B. Most add-on modules require a license purchase. Features linked to add-on modules are only available if the module is purchased or included with your SECURITHOR license. Contact MCDI to verify if a specific feature is included.

Major Changes

  • Discontinuation of APS Systems: APS, APS+, and APS X systems were discontinued in early 2025. They will remain available until Android and iOS Store policies change.

    • Legacy APS systems will still be received and supported in SECURITHOR v2.

    • APS X is being replaced by Protecthor. Preferential upgrade pricing is available for current APS X users.

  • CAM Ultra Manufacturer Updates: Due to a lack of support or cooperation from certain manufacturers, Camect and Uniview are now deprecated to ‘as-is’ . Several manufacture feature support were changed in 2.7 due to feature update.

API and Odoo Plugin
A large rework of the API to update for changes in v2.7 database and the Odoo Plugin was performed with partner AARSOL, an Odoo integrator and reseller of SECURITHOR for 10 years.

Building Info System (BIS)

This represents major new development completed in partnership with the Kingfisher Company for their personalized UNIFI version of SECURITHOR. Kingfisher is a prominent manufacturer with a 60-year history of building FM-approved Fire Prevention, Radio, and Communication Equipment. To enhance our fire prevention capabilities and better serve college campuses and municipalities, we have partnered with Kingfisher to develop the new Building Info System (BIS) module.

The BIS module provides significantly more detail than what is traditionally found in a standard alarm account. It introduces building-specific cards (each linked to a zone) organized into dedicated tabs: Access, Building Characteristics, Fire, and Fire Equipment. Dispatchers and responders will now have a complete operational picture of each site, including critical building data not typically found in monitoring software. Furthermore, the Building Info System’s web interface empowers fire chiefs with a comprehensive overview of the intervention site.

Key features of BIS include:

  • LiveMap & Weboperathor 2 Integration: Seamless navigation between components; clicking icons in LiveMap or within a BIS building sheet allows you to jump directly to the corresponding component.

  • Data Management: BIS information can be managed and filed within Weboperathor 2 when both modules are installed.

  • Temporary Web Sharing: Users can share a temporary (1-hour) web link to a specific account or building.

  • Customization: Central stations can add custom building characteristics via manual entry.

  • Automation: These links can be included in automatic emails using the new {bshare} wildcard.

BIS Availability: BIS is a v3 module available as a preview or dedicated installation in version 2.7.1 upon purchase.

 

API and Odoo Plugin
A large rework of the API and the Odoo Plugin was performed with partner AARSOL, an Odoo integrator and reseller of SECURITHOR for 10 years.

CAM Ultra: Video verification and alarms from Video

Note: The following features require CAM Ultra for v2.7. Some integrations may also require a separate subscription with the respective manufacturer.

  • Video HUB and Alula CONNECT+: Added support for the Video HUB and Alula CONNECT+ panels.

  • Video Verification: M2M/Alula compatible products now send video clips/image proofs to DT42/SECURITHOR alongside alarm signals.

  • Display: Image proofs are displayed within SECURITHOR via CAM Ultra (supports clips from up to 3 cameras).


DAHUA

We worked closely with Dahua throughout 2025 to complete the integration of their Series 5 and 7 with SECURITHOR. As ECO+ partners and the launch partner for the DoLynk Developer solution, many Dahua devices can now report video analytics detections directly to SECURITHOR CAM Ultra or via DoLynk Developer servers.

  • AirShield Support: Added remote Arm/Disarm/Output control for AirShield panels (requires DoLynk/CAM Ultra or 2-Way Control module).

  • Enhanced Reporting: Dahua events and camera connections are supported via DoLynk IoT or OpenArc.

  • Decryption: Added decryption support for Dahua AirShield PIR sensors sending MP4 files.

  • Time Sync: Added synchronization for UTC/Local time between Dahua Push, DoLynk, and SECURITHOR.

  • OpenArc Alarm Reception: Integrated Dahua OpenARC alarm reception into the Video Verification module (available via the new STO Component).

    • Note: Device sharing is possible via the DMSS app. Video calls are limited to 5 minutes by Dahua but can be renewed.

  • Mapping: Added STOpenArc mapping for ContactID 1/3/6 to E/R/P.

  • Regional Availability: Updated Dahua and Ajax integrations are now available in México via TVC en línea.

For our updated work with Dahua and Ajax available, several SECURITHOR products and modules are now available in  México at TVC en linea.


EdgeDX

  • Updated integration for device-to-account assignment.

  • Alarm reception from EdgeDX hubs via STCreceiver.

  • New code templates for EdgeDX AI boxes and Cloud services.

Everspring VIAS
Added alarm reception from DT42 with video/image support in CAM Ultra.

Hikvision
Hik Partner Pro: Updated with image decryption for AXPRO, AXPRO Hybrid, Cameras, and NVRs (server-based decryption).

TVT SDK update

  • Architecture: TVT is now compiled as 64-bit to bypass the memory limitations of 32-bit systems.

  • Compatibility: Enhanced compatibility with TVT NAT 2.0 and updated SDK for both direct and P2P connections.

  • Restored 2-way audio functionality that was removed due to prior TVT SDK.

  • Notifications: Added XML report support for Line Crossing and Intrusion detections (Note: TVT does not send images with XML events). Feature is ‘As-is’, under development.

UNIVIEW SDK update
.Status: Provided “as-is” due to limited manufacturer cooperation.
.Compiles as 64bit for higher memory usage.

.Added Uniview provided SDK: Now 64-bit. The new SDK allows for live viewing without the need for port forwarding (check with Uniview for required firmware updates).

ONVIF
Rework of ONVIF viewer for more stability and faster operation in 2.7.1

MVP Map View and Plans (+LiveMap)

MVP is an add-on module that includes LiveMap and Floor Plans/Images for each partition. When active in your SECURITHOR license, MVP facilitates interactions with Mission Control (staff locations), APS X/Protecthor (panic button geolocations), and the Building Info System (BIS).

LiveMap & LiveMap TV Enhancements

  • LiveMap TV Viewer: Added a dedicated “View Mode” viewer that operates independently from the SECURITHOR Workstation.

  • Audio Updates: Added Priority Sound to LiveMap TV and optimized overall sound behavior across the module.

  • Performance: Significant back-end improvements to support higher performance and a greater number of endpoints on the map.

  • Visual Indicators: Added specific indicators for groups with no active events and for non-existent partitions.

  • UI Scaling: Added an option in Settings > Misc to enable a Large User Interface for better visibility.

  • Capacity: The number of displayable partitions has been increased across all configurations.

Geolocation & Device Mapping

  • Device Geolocation: Users can now locate specific devices (e.g., a fire hydrant) directly via Google Maps.

  • Plan Editor: Created a new feature to generate icons with specific device geolocations (such as fire hydrants) within floor plans.

  • Protecthor Integration: * Introduced a new Purple Marker and specific icons for Protecthor events.

    • Icons update dynamically based on which specific button was triggered in the Protecthor app.

    • Protecthor events now prioritize and display the geolocation of the bearer rather than the static account address.

Regional & Custom Settings (UNIFI)

  • Unit Conversion: When using the UNIFI version, distances are automatically displayed in Feet/Miles instead of Meters/Kilometers.

  • BIS Connection: Added bidirectional navigation between LiveMap and the Building Info System module.

Protecthor Assistance app

Protecthor was designed for v3 but as it’s available before the next version is available, We are pleased to introduce a preview of Protecthor, the successor to APS X, now available for selected installations. Protecthor is a next-generation assistance system designed for personalized subscriber safety.

 

Key Protecthor Features and Improvements:

  • Simplified Registration: Unique login system based on email and password.

  • Legacy Support: Automated conversion of legacy APS X codes on a per-customer basis.

  • Web Registration Portal: A new web-based registration page allows subscribers to input critical data including gender, date of birth, and profile pictures. Registration requires final confirmation by the Central Station.

  • Advanced Tracking:  Rendez-Vous Geofencing: Schedule safety appointments based on location.

    • Follow-Me: Enhanced tracking linked to the main assistance/panic button.

    • Heatmaps: A dedicated map for administrators to view user distribution and event density via heatmaps.

  • App Personalization:  In-app customization for logos and contact information.

    • Dedicated app personalization services are available upon request.

  • Account Management: Administrators can set and modify specific service termination dates for each user.

Availability & Upgrades:

  • Upgrade Path: Protecthor is the official upgrade solution for the discontinued APS X. It is compatible with SECURITHOR v2.7.1 and higher.

  • Licensing: Available for customers with valid update rights from APS X or through the purchase of the Protecthor module.

  • Release Schedule:

    • Android (Google Play Store): Available 2nd week of January 2026.

    • iOS (Apple App Store): Expected Mid-March 2026.

    • Demos: Previews are only currently available via the MCDI demo system.

VERIFICATHOR: Push Notifications and Verification Service

  • Platform Compatibility: Updated to support the latest Google Delivery System requirements, ensuring reliable performance on Android 14+ and iOS 17.

  • Firebase Integration: Silent and “wake-up” notifications now require SECURITHOR 2.7 to remain compatible with the latest Google Firebase delivery engine.

  • Enhanced Security: Improved push user password security within the SECURITHOR database through advanced encryption and hashing.

  • Version Support: Verificathor is available for all installations running SECURITHOR 2.6 and higher.

  • Branding: Updated the app interface to display the Central Station Logo clearly (no longer as a watermark).

  • Expanded Video Verification: Added support for attached video and image proofs from a wider range of manufacturers, including: Dahua, EdgeDX, Hikvision Thermal Cameras, Monitoreal, Everspring, Videologics. VIAS, Secury360.

WebOperathor 2.7: Major UI and Security Update

  • Major UI Redesign: A complete visual overhaul allowing customers to personalize key aspects of the Weboperathor main page. The App Name, Navigation Bar, and Main Interface are now fully customizable.

  • Comprehensive Branding: Added support for deep company branding, including options for small/large logos and custom wordmarks or banners.

  • Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Enhanced security with a new 2FA page and email workflow, including secure code generation, resend options, and validation.

  • Traffic Interface Rework: The Traffic user interface has been redesigned for better responsiveness and a more intuitive user experience.

  • Building Information System (BIS) Integration: When both modules are present, BIS is now fully integrated within Weboperathor. This allows Surveyors to input and manage detailed site information directly from the web interface.

  • Added hashed push login password like in SECURITHOR

WhatsApp Module

  • Service Improvements: Multiple updates have been implemented to support the latest Bird/WhatsApp service and API.

  • Enhanced Logging: Added more detailed transmission logs for better auditing and troubleshooting.

  • Service Details: The WhatsApp module is an add-on handled by our MCDI de México team. As part of the purchase, MCDI de México provides support for the registration process with Bird, Facebook, and WhatsApp.

  • Requirements: A valid Bird.com account and a Facebook/WhatsApp API key are required for operation.

  • N.B. Deprecation Notice: Please note that the WhatsApp module will be deprecated in v3 due to evolving technological requirements from WhatsApp, Facebook, and Bird.

Licensing and Update Rights of add-on modules

  • Add-on Modules: Previously purchased modules are included in your update if you have active update rights with MCDI.

  • Support Plans: Update rights are included in MCDI Annual Support Plans. Please inquire with MCDI regarding adding new modules or checking support coverage for older SECURITHOR installations. Large reworks such as APS > Protecthor are now automatically included.

  • Module Synergy: Certain advanced features (such as interactions between Buildings, LiveMap, and Weboperathor) are only accessible if all relevant modules are present in your license.

STNet Updates

  • Protecthor Integration:

    • Added support for the new Protecthor event types.

    • Introduced dedicated properties specifically for Protecthor events to ensure accurate data handling.

STReceiver Updates

  • Kingfisher IoT Integration: The MQTT receiver for the Kingfisher IoT platform is now included in the main version. It no longer requires a manual/custom installation.

  • Manufacturer Support:

    • Dahua AirShield: Added support for panic alarms including geolocation data sent from the DMSS app.

    • Artifeel: Added support for multiple supplemental server IPs and improved multi-server handling.

    • Everspring: Integrated alarm reception from DT42 with full video and image support (handled as an extended data block).

  • MLR2000 Enhancements:

    • Added FDAS fire alarm reception through M2M.

    • Added FSK support.

    • Added support for international phone numbers for Caller ID (phone side).

  • Data & Media Handling:

    • Extended Data (V Blocks): STReceiver now automatically handles “V blocks” from MLR2/DT42 as direct links to websites, images, or videos (e.g., Dahua AirShield PIR images).

SECURITHOR V3 is coming in 2026
We are excited to announce that SECURITHOR v3 is scheduled for release during 2026. To provide our users with an early look at the next generation of monitoring, several v3 features are available now as a preview within version 2.7.1.

Current v3 Previews & Demos

The following modules are currently available for demonstration by MCDI:

  • Protecthor: The successor to the APS X assistance app.

  • Building Info Systems (BIS): Enhanced site-specific data management.

Note: These modules are manually installed upon purchase as new add-ons or as part of a purchased upgrade path for legacy APS X users.

Roadmap and Availability

  • Q1 2026: Pricing and upgrade options for the transition from v2 to v3 will be presented.

  • Q2 2026: Release candidate previews of v3 are planned.

  • Q4 2026: Official launch of SECURITHOR v3.

WARNINGS and Important recommendations      

Note: Some items in the SECURITHOR Core change list reflect support for features that require specific add-on modules. The purchase of these modules or extra features is required to activate and benefit from them within the core application.

 

Update Requirements & Roadmap

  • Version Path: To update directly to v2.7.x, your starting version must be v2.5.3 or later.

  • Legacy Updates: Updates from versions prior to 2.5.3 require a multi-step “jump” process managed by MCDI Support and will incur a bridging fee.

  • Licensing: As of v2.5.0, a new license key is REQUIRED. Self-reinstallation will not function without a valid support plan and update rights in good standing with MCDI.

Hardware & Operating System Requirements

  • 64-bit Requirement: Starting with v2.6.0, 32-bit Windows is no longer supported. Only 64-bit operating systems are compatible.

  • Genuine Windows: A Genuine Windows 10/11 Pro installation is mandatory. Non-genuine/cracked versions of Windows are not supported as they are often incomplete and impede performance.

  • Dedicated Hardware: The ST1 or Server machine must be used solely for SECURITHOR. No other software should be installed on the machine.

  • Software Dependencies: Minimum requirement is .NET 4.6.2. However, upcoming video features (ONVIF, Sunell) will require .NET 4.8 (which is backward compatible).

  • RAM & Storage: * The minimum recommended RAM is now 16GB. Higher might be needed according to specific operations.

    • A high-speed SSD (for both read/write) is now a minimum requirement for production environments. NVM.e is highly recommended.

  • Video Handling: A dedicated video card is highly recommended for any installation using video features. On-board chipsets that share motherboard memory are insufficient.

    • If using Video Verification, an external disk for video storage is now recommended to prevent the primary SECURITHOR disk from filling up.

Integration & Installation Notes

  • Deprecated Manufacturers: Due to a lack of manufacturer cooperation, Camect and Uniview are now deprecated and provided “as-is.” They are no longer supported by MCDI.

  • Installer Prep: Ensure all Windows updates are fully installed on client PCs before running the installers or updaters of MCDI applications.

  • MCB Installation: The Mission Control Board (MCB) must be installed after the SECURITHOR update is completed.

  • License Locks: Certain Windows Updates may trigger a license lock. Should this occur, contact MCDI during business hours to refresh your key.

IMPORTANT: Database Backups

Every SECURITHOR v2 installation includes an automatic backup tool located in STnet > Tools > Backup.

  • Integrity: This tool produces an integral backup of the database required for restoration.

  • Frequency: Backups can be triggered manually or scheduled to run automatically once per day.

  • Off-site Storage: Crucial: Always save backups to a separate physical location or removable media. If your hard drive fails and both the database and the backup are on the same disk, recovery will be impossible.

Release & Rollout Schedule (v2.7.1)

  • January Rollout: Rollout begins with new installations, followed by STL, ST1, and STS (with database imports) in order of complexity.

  • Execution: Updates are performed solely by MCDI staff as part of an active support plan.

  • Time Allocation: A minimum support window is required for scheduling:

    • 1 Hour: STL or ST1 (without modules).

    • 2 Hours: Standard STS, STL or ST1 with modules

    • 3+ Hours: Complex or large-scale installations.
